Celebrate Windrush Day 2024 at our funfairs

Saturday is Windrush Day, when we celebrate the arrival of the ship Empire Windrush from Jamaica to Tilbury Docks.

Why not celebrate by visiting our funfairs at Kingston (appropriately enough!) Fairfield Park, or Roundwood Park in Harlesden?

At Kingston, we are open from 1pm to 9pm, and in the afternoon, your little ones can meet the dinosaurs! At Roundwood Park, we are open from 1pm to 10pm.

The Windrush landed on 22nd June 1948 and brought migrant workers from the Caribbean who had been invited to the UK to help rebuild Britain after WWII.

Many of the 1,027 people on board had served in the British armed forces in the war, and went on to become became workers, drivers, cleaners, and nurses in the newly-created NHS.
